QNU's Brisbane office is moving

Staff at the QNU head office in Brisbane are getting ready to move into new digs next month.
QNU HQ will relocate from Melbourne Street in West End to 106 Victoria Street, which is still in West End but a little further out from the suburb's bustling centre.
The new building was purchased in October 2011 and has been retrofitted to suit the QNU's needs.
QNU membership has doubled since 1995 and the number of staff and level of resources now needed to effectively support this growing cohort of nurses and midwives simply became too much for the Melbourne Street office.
The new office space complements the QNU's new organisational structure and positions the union well for future growth.
The move is expected to take place on the weekend of 15-16 September, with business as usual from Monday 17 September.
The QNU has opted to lease out the old Melbourne Street office.
