Submission to Queensland Government for the 2011-2012 State Budget

The Queensland Nurses’ Union (QNU) thanks the Treasurer for the opportunity to submit ideas for the 2011-2012 Queensland State Budget. The QNU makes this submission when floods to most of Queensland and cyclone Yasi have put significant pressure of existing infrastructure and government spending to repair the damage. At this difficult time, we recognise the many QNU members affected by these natural disasters and the contribution of Queenslanders in assisting with the recovery effort. We also realize that in the face of adversity, there are opportunities to make more effective use of the resources we already have so that we can meet the challenges of rebuilding.Contact:
