Submission to the Department of Health and Ageing: Response to 'Towards a National Carer Strategy'

The Queensland Nurses’ Union (QNU) thanks the Department of Health and Ageing for providing this opportunity to comment on a National Carer Strategy (the Strategy). Our submission responds to the questions set out in the discussion paper Towards a National Carer Strategy (the paper). Disability, aged, mental health and community care relies on the dedication of carers and the support workforce. As a trade union we represent the industrial and professional interests of our members who provide nursing care and work to improve the future for these Australians and their families.
