Your leadership team
Under the QNU’s democratic structure, our Council is responsible for doing all the things necessary to achieve all or any of the objectives of the Union’s Strategic Plan, which determines the direction of the QNU.
The QNU Secretary and Assistant Secretary are members of the QNU Council as well as full-time employees of the Union.
The Secretary is responsible for the day-to-day management and administration of the union and its staff, and for implementing Council decisions.
The Assistant Secretary is responsible for assisting the Secretary and assumes the full duties of the Secretary in longer absences.
Secretary Beth Mohle and Assistant Secretary Des Elder are working hard to promote and defend the industrial, professional, social, political and democratic values and interests of members.

Since commencing work at the QNU in 1990, Beth has worked hard to advance the industrial and professional interests and values of nurses and midwives working in all sectors across Queensland. Read more »

Des has been a member of our union since 1977 joining not long after he commenced training as a registered nurse at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. Read more »
