Workers’ compensation claims and representation
The QNU provides support, advice and representation to QNU members who sustain an injury or illness and who are entitled to make a claim for workers’ compensation.
Workers who are employed under a contract of service should be covered by workers’ compensation, which is a payment made to workers who sustain an injury or illness through their employment.
The QNU has a range of resources and information about workers’ compensation and provides up-to-date materials to assist and inform members through various publications.
Nurses and midwives should make sure they know exactly what their rights and responsibilities are if they suffer a work related injury or illness.
