Rules of the Queensland Nurses' Union of Employees
Over the course of 2010-2012 the QNU undertook an exhaustive review of the union’s rules.
This review was conducted for several reasons. QNU Council deemed it necessary to improve the governance of the union and provide better clarity around roles such as branch delegates and branch representatives.
It was also necessary to streamline union processes and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the QNU’s operations.
The review has also made the QNU rules contemporary and easier to use, and has sought to anticipate some of the issues our professions may confront in coming years.
