Negotiations for a new EB8 agreement which details the wages and conditions of all Queensland Health nurses and midwives kicked off in October 2011. This round of negotiations will be unlike any other. The negotiations will occur in the midst of the payroll catastrophe due to which staff morale is at an all-time low and trust in the employer is non-existent. Read more »
Say Yes Australia
The carbon price package announcement marked an historic moment in Australia’s sustainable future. It marked a recognition that polluting our environment can no longer be done for free. It marked a shift in thinking to take opportunities in new cleaner industries, and making existing industries more efficient. Read more »
Because We Care
More aged care nursing staff with the right mix of nursing skills and increased federal funding to be spent transparently by providers, are the main objectives of a new national campaign being run by the QNU and branches of the Australian Nursing Federation. Read more »
