Ramsey EB Rally
On Saturday 8 September at Sir Bruce Small Park Benowa, Ramsay nurses and midwives protested Ramsay Health Care's plans to defer negotiations for a new enterprise agreement.
Rally participants called on Ramsay to quit stalling and commit to wage rises and leave provisions in a three year enterprise agreement.
Ramsay revenue topped $3.7 billion in 2011 and yet it refuses to give the dedicated nurses and midwives who help make their business so successful a fair go.
Ramsay management has refused to guarantee a wage rise beyond the first year and has baulked at a number of items on the QNU log of claims including improved professional development and fair and safe fatigue leave provisions.
