Sectors
The QNU is the industrial and professional organisation for nurses and midwives working in all areas of the health sector in Queensland.
QNU members work independently or as collaborative members of a health care team in a variety of settings which include hospitals, rural and remote nursing posts, Indigenous communities, schools, prisons, aged care homes, the armed forces, universities, TAFE colleges, mental health facilities, statutory authorities, general practice offices, businesses, professional organisations and people’s homes.
Broadly these settings can be categorised into four main sectors:
